It is the day after a group of thugs stormed the Capitol. \u00a0So, in typical fashion before anyone is identified, before any investigation has been completed, the finger pointing begins.\u00a0 Most notable among the finger pointers are Chuck Schumer and Mitt Romney.\u00a0 And, as ludicrous as it may sound, they are laying the blame squarely in the lap of President Donald Trump.\u00a0 President Trump who has always called for law and order, President Trump who had tweeted out calling for peaceful assembly.\u00a0 Not once did he say to storm the Capitol.\u00a0 He spoke out against it, not for it.\u00a0 Let me say that again, he spoke out against it, not for it. \u00a0\u00a0But yet, somehow, he is to blame?<\/p>\n

I abhor violence.\u00a0 I do not believe in the destruction of private or public property, EVER!\u00a0 I do not feel that violence is justified regardless of whether the property is insured or has no value to begin with.\u00a0 I understand what may motivate one to become violent and destructive.\u00a0 Frustration is a great motivator.\u00a0 But regardless of the motivation, the urge towards violence must be controlled. I do not know who the individuals were that stormed the capitol.\u00a0 The finger pointers will be quick to tell me they were Trump supporters.\u00a0 Perhaps they were.\u00a0 However, it is just as possible they were just the opposite and performed this violation knowing full well that the finger pointers would immediately jump to unfounded conclusions because an investigation has yet to be implemented.\u00a0 I would rather wait for the investigation to be completed and then decide how I feel.\u00a0 That, of course, causes yet another concern.<\/p>\n

I have lost confidence in the credibility of many of our Federal Agencies.\u00a0 Top on that list is the Justice Department, including the FBI.\u00a0 I am no longer confident they can conduct a fair, impartial, and non-political investigation.\u00a0 I believe the Capitol Police should conduct the investigation.\u00a0 After all, it was their turf that was invaded.\u00a0 But it will probably be investigated by several agencies, as well as House and Senate Committees.\u00a0 Those committees will, of course, be useless as it is merely an opportunity for the politicians to engage in their favorite past time, finger pointing.<\/p>\n

Yesterday<\/a> I wrote \u201cif someone in the past had said that lawless groups would be free to occupy portions of our cities and nothing would be or could be done to prevent it, it\u00a0would have been said they are being paranoid.\u201d\u00a0 Today I will have to add that one would not believe that it would be possible that the Capitol Building could be stormed and taken over by hoodlums and thugs.\u00a0 And yet it happened.\u00a0 I am ashamed of what I saw happen yesterday.\u00a0 I am embarrassed that this happened in the United States of America, the land of the Free and the home of the Brave.\u00a0 Apparently also the home of the weak and the spineless.\u00a0 \u00a0I Will still stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.\u00a0 I will still salute during the playing of the National Anthem.\u00a0 I am still proud to be an American.\u00a0 But, at this moment, I am not proud of America.<\/p>\n
