\"\"About 18 months ago, I was contacted by the sister of an acquaintance of mine.\u00a0 I will call her Mary, as that is her name. She inquired of me if I had any recent contact with her brother, Scott.\u00a0 She advised that she had not heard from him for a while and was concerned.\u00a0 I agreed to try to locate him, and that should either of us make contact, we would inform the other.\u00a0 \u00a0 As time passed, I would occasionally check local sources and national obituary databases, but no mention of him was found.<\/p>\n

Last October,\u00a0 having made no progress in the search, I sent a PM to Mary asking if she had had any contact with Scott, but there was no response.\u00a0 I did not pay too much attention at the time as I had other things going on in my life.\u00a0 Yesterday, I began thinking about this all and went to her Messenger page, thinking maybe I had missed her response, which I had not.\u00a0 Now curious, I went to her Facebook page to see if she had had any mention of Scott or progress of her search. \u00a0 It was at that point I discovered the reason she had not responded to my inquiry of October.<\/p>\n

As I scrolled through her Facebook page, it was obvious that not only had she not made any progress but that she would not as she herself had passed away unexpectedly in September.\u00a0 I am pretty sure that is why she did not respond to me in October.<\/p>\n

I did not know Mary very well.\u00a0 In fact, my only memory of her was as Scott\u2019s little tag-along sister who followed us each day on our walk to school.\u00a0 Someone had linked her obituary to her Facebook page and found it interesting\u00a0 that in the section acknowledging those left behind, it only alluded to two unnamed brothers. I assumed one of these two would be Scott.\u00a0 I did not know that they had another brother.\u00a0 \u00a0 They both lived with their Aunt and Cousin, also called Mary.\u00a0 I had a teen age crush on cousin Mary and was informed that she had passed away from cancer quite some time ago.\u00a0 While in high school we would occasionally sneak off together to enjoy a smoke.\u00a0 In retrospect, we probably should not have done that as her cancer was lung cancer,.<\/p>\n

As to Scott, he is still missing.\u00a0 I do not know if he is alive or dead.\u00a0 The last time I had contact with him was via Facebook, and he informed me he was living alone in a cabin in the woods somewhere in Northern Kentucky.\u00a0 Most likely, he is still in the cabin, not alive, and not yet discovered.\u00a0 I hope that is not the case, but it is the only reasonable solution I can comprehend.\u00a0 If still alive, he must have become a hermit and is not likely to know of his sister\u2019s passing. \u00a0 If not alive, then they have probably met up in the great beyond.<\/p>\n

If anyone reads this and knows of Scott Warren\u2019s situation, please let us all know in the comments section below.\u00a0 And if alive, be sure and let him know of his sister\u2019s passing.<\/p>\n
