I\"I<\/a> hate winter. I mean I really hate winter. I am not talking about disliking winter. I am not talking about extremely disliking winter. I am talking pure, unadulterated hate. I do not mean the classic definition of winter, which is from the third week in December to the third week in March. My definition of winter is anytime the thermometer dips below 40 during the night or dips below 60 during the day. I don’t care if that happens in mid July. It is winter and I hate it.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I don’t like anything associated with winter. I don’t like sleet, I don’t like snow, I don’t like ice (unless it is in a glass of iced tea on a hot summer day). I don’t like sled rides, I don’t like numb toes. I tdon’t like when my noes is colder than my dog’s nose. I don’t like wearing gloves nor woolen hats nor heavy coats. I don’t like seeing my breath. I know I am breathing, I don’t need to see it. I don’t like it when it is so cold my nostrils freeze shut when I take a deep breath. And I really hate it when someone talks about a freshly fallen blanket of snow. What a crock! A blanket is somethng you cover yourself with in the winter time to keep warm. A bunch of snow lying on the ground is not that. I could continue listing all the things I hate about winter, but I think you get the point.<\/p>\n

I have no gripes with the other three seasons. Spring is my favorite. It is a kind of rebirth. I find joy in seeing the grass turn green and seeing the first buds appear on the trees. Spring brings me hope and joy and inspiration. Summer is okay too, except it makes the grass grow. I find it much easier to find a cool place in the summer than to find a warm place in the winter. Of course, living with a thermostat Nazi doesn’t help in that regard. Fall (or autumn for you fancy pants) is okay. The only issues I have with fall is that it signals the coming of winter, and leaves. Leaves are an error in creation. Leaves should stay on the tree and just turn green again in spring. Grass does it, why can’t leaves. You can ignore snow and eventually it will go away. Not leaves, they lay there until they rot or someone picks them up. . . . .okay, until they rot. The only advance of rotting leaves is it makes good food for the mushrooms.<\/p>\n

That is all I have to say on the subject. And if I wasn’t perfectly clear, I will state it one more time, I HATE WINTER!<\/p>\n
