Okay, I just have to get this off my chest. It has been on my mind for several days now and the more I think about it, the angrier I get. I really get miffed when some low life, scumbag, lower than whale dung miserable excuse for a human being thinks they can take something that does not belong to them,. And somehow seem to think they have a right to do so. I have heard thee are two types of people in the world, the haves and the have-nots. In this case I think it is referring to moral turpitude. Some people are inherently hardworking honest individuals who would give you the shirt off their own backs but would never even consider taking what does not belong to them. The other group seems to think they are entitled to take what they want, and to hell with the person who labored hard to obtain the possessions they have accumulated.
A quick background to why I am on this rant. There is a couple, let us call them Lester and Erica Arschloch. The names have been changed to protect the innocent. The scumbags are not innocent, but I am, and in this litigious society they would probably sue me for pointing out to all the world what miserable lifeforms they really are. But to continue, several days ago the Arschlochs received a package in the mail. The package was not addressed to them, and it was never intended they receive it. For some reason the U.S. Post Office failed to forward the package even though there was a valid change of address on file, but instead delivered it to the address on the package. The new tenants (Arschlochs) upon receiving the package did not do the right thing. They ignored who the intended recipient was and did not take the few seconds it would have taken to annotate the package as improperly delivered so it could be retrieved by the letter carrier on the next day. No, instead they decided that it would be better if they just took possession of the package and treat the contents as if their own. Not the right choice, and certainly not the right example to their several children who will probably grow up to be pond scum themselves because of the lack of parenting skills exhibited by their cretin parents.
The package contained work product that the intended recipient needed to perform his job. You see, he has a job that he goes to each day in order to provide for his family. He needed the contents of the package in order to perform his daily duties. When the package was incorrectly delivered the intended recipient attempted to contact the Arschlochs to obtain his property, but they were uncooperative. At the insistence of his employer, he contacted the local police for assistance. This story has a happy ending because the Police were able to recover his property. However, it should be pointed out that the package was recovered, but it had been opened and the contents disbursed to several locations. It seems obvious to me that their intent was to keep the property. Now, sadly, some people have issues with the intended recipient for using the Police to recover his property. Of course, this would have been unnecessary had the Arschlochs done the right thing in the first place.
He did the right thing by calling the police. We who are in the group who work for what we have should applaud this actions. Anyone who does not applaud his actions can go to hell. I am tired of the way we worry about the rights and treatment of criminals. Particularly since the answer is so simple. If they do not like the way they are treated, quit being a criminal. Crimes against property may not be considered as heinous as crimes against persons but they are still crimes and should be dealt with severely. If the Arschlochs had been arrested and charged maybe the next time they would think twice before taking what is not theirs. But probably not, after all, they think they are entitled. Moral of the story for the Arschlochs and all others like them, keep your grubby little paws off what does not belong to you. Is that so hard to comprehend?
Those are my thoughts, what are yours?

Article nailed it. As to the calling the police to recover…protection of life, liberty, and property from aggression by others. Exactly what the police should be doing.
Tom. I could not agree more. However, I would have liked to see you reveal the real names of the thieves. Avoiding litigation is smart but the ‘truth’ is an air tight defence against any civil litigation. You need a little more excitement in your life anyway. Come on and reveal the names. LOL
Had they actually been arrested and charged I would be on firmer ground revealing their true name. However er, the German last name I gave them is more descriptive.
I haven’t a hard time wrapping my head around anyone thinking that going to the police would not bet he right thing to do. I’m glad the property was recovered. I’m a little surprised that the USPS didn’t do more.
Totally agree. I remember when I used to work in the service desk at the grocery store and people would complain that our bounced check fee was so high. I always got the wide-eyed blink blink from them when I’d say, “That should not be an issue if you don’t bounce a check.” Seems very similar, don’t do the crime, you don’t have to do the time, or penance, or get the dirty looks from your neighbors.
